In short:

The ACT government has reached an agreement for the sale of land at a former CSIRO agriculture research site for the construction of thousands new homes.

Master Builders ACT says swift progress will be needed to make a difference in meeting the ACT's housing target of enabling 30,000 new homes by 2030.

What's next?

The ACT government will pay off a $385 million bill to the CSIRO over an eight-year period to procure Ginninderra East.
