An Ipswich father has been charged with killing his three-month-old son after the boy died in hospital yesterday.
Police launched an investigation when the baby was brought to Ipswich Hospital with "significant internal injuries" on Thursday last week.
He was transferred to a Brisbane hospital, where he died from his injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
Overnight the Ipswich Child Protection Investigation Unit arrested 28-year-old Uneeb Ullah and charged him with murder – domestic violence against a child.
Mr Ullah's matter was mentioned at Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning. He did not appear, and his case has been adjourned to later this month.
Investigations continue.
